PROPER DANCE ATTIRE

PDC will offer dancewear and shoes for every style of dance we currently offer. Please contact us for information on how to order or purchase dancewear. 
We recommend all students purchase dancewear and shoes through the studio to ensure everyone has the same style of shoes.   

For all classes, hair must be pulled back away from the face. Jeans, jean shorts, play clothes, or school clothes are not suitable dance attire.  Remember loose or dangling jewelry and costumes other than proper dance skirts are a safety hazard and distraction for dancers and are not allowed.

Recommended Attire:

Tiny Tots & Combo Classes
o  Leotard and tights. Hair pulled back away from the face in ponytail or bun.
o  Tiny Tots need ballet shoes
o  Black Tap shoes and pink ballet shoes are both required for combo class. Boys may have black ballet shoes


Tap – All tap shoes must be black.
o   Any color leotard and tights. Jazz pants, yoga pants, leggings, or shorts may be worn. Hair pulled back.
o   No jeans.
o   Black tap shoes are required 

 Jazz/Lyrical
o   Any color leotard and tights. Jazz pants, yoga pants or shorts may be worn. Hair pulled back.
o   No jeans.
o   Jazz shoes are required for jazz class

Ballet
o   Black leotard and pink tights. Skirt optional. Hair pulled into ballet bun.
o   Pink ballet shoes are required

 Hip Hop
o  Comfortable loose fitting clothes to allow comfortable movement. Hair pulled back.
o  No jeans
o  CLEAN, dry tennis shoes. PLEASE dedicate one pair of shoes exclusively for dance.

Tumbling
o   Leotard
o   Barefoot
